It all started with a mental image. Several weeks ago I had this vague glimpse of hanging out with Heather and William over dinner in their apartment, it may even have been a dream. The only problem with this happy hypothetical thought was that Heather and William live over two thousand miles away! Oh and there's that little detail of me being currently enrolled in a PhD program.
All I can say is, yay for airplanes and Presidents' day weekend. :)
I LOVED my first trip to our Nation's Capitol. There is a special spirit out there! I'm excited to tour more sites but equally pleased with what I was able to see in the short time I was there.
Thanks Heather and William for inviting me into your home and family for a fun-filled few days! It was a great weekend; everything I had hoped and well worth the trip. You sure know how to show a girl a good time!
I love vacations.
Thanks for coming Jamie!! We love you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you got to go! I've always wanted to visit Washington DC. Oh, and Heather's a pretty cool person, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures! I definitely think we should have a family reunion in the D.C. area... I don't think it would be hard to convince Mom and Daddy! We could all ride seg-ways! I don't know how to spell segway. Is it really called a segway?
ReplyDeleteNope, no convincing needed with me - it's one of my favorite destinations. The Segways are a must, yes. I don't know if I spelled Segway correct either, but it should probably be capitlized because it is a brand name. I don't know the generic name, but they are very fun.
